/ Species. Figure. Finish.

Specified to the board, not the batch.

Every species, cut, and finish category in Woodspire's library is documented by provenance. You specify; we source to that specification.

Sourced to specification, not standing stock.

Species and figure are selected against your project brief. Grain matching across runs is documented — no batch approximation, no substitution without sign-off.

Finish Categories

Finish choice is a performance decision.

Each category behaves differently under traffic, humidity, and time. The right finish follows from how the wood will be used — not from what it looks like on day one.

Clear Film Finish

Penetrating Oil

Hardwax Oil

Forms a hard surface layer. Maximum protection on high-traffic floors; grain reads through the film. Refinishing requires full strip.

Feeds into the fiber rather than coating it. The wood remains tactile and matte; spot repairs are possible without visible seams.

A hybrid: wax component closes the pore without a film layer. Satin sheen, field-maintainable, performs across residential and light commercial loads.
